Both are unapproved products that are sold as dietary supplements. They are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a drug for weight loss. Because the manufacturers cannot prove through acceptable clinical trials the products do what they claim.
Sure, all these diet pill peddlers state they have "clinical evidence" their product does what they say.
Lipofuze for example has clinical trial links next to some of the ingredients.Open one. You will see they are lab tests. On rats and mice. No tests on human subjects.
Phen375 loves to promote their product as produced in a facility that meets FDA standards. I can make fertilizer in a FDA standard facility but you wouldn't want to ingest it for weight loss.
Alli is the ONLY over the counter approved weight loss drug. Everything else is classified as a dietary supplement.
